Urban textures and industrial light in the south of Luxembourg
J. Hoffmann grew up in Esch-sur-Alzette and has painted the industrial south of Luxembourg for over a decade. Her canvases record the particular quality of the Minette basin: blast-furnace red, morning haze over cooling towers, the geometry of infrastructure.
She works directly from observation, returning to the same sites across seasons and times of day.
