Anouk Reuter works from a converted barn in the north of the country. Her paintings move between landscape and interior: the same quality of attention governs both, a slowness that lets ordinary objects carry weight.
She is primarily an oil painter, working on canvas and linen. Her still lifes place fruit, vessels, and cloth in the same light she paints her winter fields.
